Let your dreams come true – celebrate your wedding at a historic castle. A castle wedding at Ledreborg Castle is a celebration where history, elegance, nature, and presence go hand in hand. Ledreborg is one of Denmark's most impressive estates with roots dating back to the 12th century, and the surroundings clearly bear the marks of stories that have been allowed to live on.

At the heart of the estate lies the Castle Barn – a unique, historic space with visible, original wooden beams and a ceiling nearly nine metres high. The room can accommodate everything from a magnificent wedding with up to 400 guests for a more intimate wedding with around 80 guests. With the large, burgundy curtains, the venue can be adapted to your guest list and divided so that the atmosphere always feels intimate and tailored to the size of the party.

A castle wedding at Ledreborg is based on the desire to create a personal and complete day, where the surroundings, the atmosphere and the togetherness are allowed to come together. Weddings at Ledreborg are planned with respect for both the place and you as a bridal couple. In beautiful, historic surroundings, we create the framework for a celebration with a focus on aesthetics, presence and quality – and with room for the day to unfold at your pace.

In connection with the planning, you will be assigned a dedicated wedding coordinator who will guide you from the initial considerations right up to the wedding day itself. This will give you peace of mind and ensure a cohesive process, allowing you to be present and enjoy the day with your guests.

Lunch & Party

Example of a seasonal evening menu using ingredients from local producers. The welcome is served outdoors with a view of the Castle Square (weather permitting).

The event lasts for 9 hours (e.g. 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM).

Poached mackerel served with a summer salad from Marken & pickled gooseberries. Served with homemade bread made from flour from Østagergaard & cultured butter.

Choose between: Free-range chicken from Dyssegaarden / Danish Duroc Pork / Grilled white radish (V) or Venison (+95,-). Grilled lettuce from "Marken" tossed in herb cream. Baked shallots, pickled blackcurrants & herbs from our own garden. Served with potatoes with herbs & a green dish from "Marken" on the tables.

Strawberries marinated with hibiscus, dog rose, and mint from the garden. Airy white foam on tonka bean & butter-toasted pumpernickel.

Slotsladen

The stable was used right up until 1995 for storing hay, straw, and machinery. Today, the room stands as an open and characterful space where the history can still be felt in the walls. The visible, original wooden beams and the high ceiling create a sense of calm and spaciousness that immediately sets the mood.

When Slotsladen provides the setting for a wedding, a special atmosphere is created. Long tables dressed simply, round tables conducive to conversation, candles casting a warm glow on the room, and space for both quiet moments and the celebration that grows throughout the evening. Here, there is time for speeches, for laughter and for dancing – and for being together in a way that feels natural.

Accommodation, transport, music, decor etc.

We do not (yet) offer accommodation at Herthadalen, which is why our usual recommendation is Comwell Roskilde – located about 20 minutes' drive from here – with good rooms, a peaceful atmosphere, and easy logistics (and advantageous. Reconciliation!)

In addition to accommodation, we have gathered a range of partners whom we know and trust. Transport to and from the party, music for both the ceremony and the dance floor, flowers, cake, graphics, and small details that tie the day together.
