At Herthadalen & Ledreborg, we offer wedding venues where nature is not just a backdrop, but an active part of your special day. Nestled in the forest, close to a lake and open clearings, you'll find wedding venues that provide space for both intimacy and celebration. Here, your wedding day can take shape in serene, green surroundings – far from the pace of the city, yet still easily accessible by car.

Our wedding venues are bright, simple, and decorated with Nordic aesthetics and a sense of atmosphere. The setting can be adapted for everything from an intimate wedding dinner to a larger celebration with space up to 130 guests at Herthadalen & 200 guests at Ledreborg. Indoors and outdoors are naturally intertwined, allowing for breaks, physical activity and moments that arise as things unfold – without needing to be planned.

Wedding venues at Herthadalen & Ledreborg are for those who desire an honest and relaxed setting, where presence, good food, and community are allowed to take precedence over formalities.

Unique Wedding Venues in Zealand

If you're dreaming of a unique wedding venue in Zealand (and preferably near Copenhagen) where the setting feels personal, peaceful, and closely connected to nature, then Herthadalen & Ledreborg is an obvious choice. Weddings are celebrated here in the middle of the forest – far from the pace of the city, yet close enough for guests from both Copenhagen and Zealand to attend with ease.

Our wedding venues are designed for days that can take their time. Bright rooms, green surroundings, and a Nordic, simple style provide the setting for both small, intimate weddings and larger celebrations. Nature becomes a natural part of the day – from arrival and reception to dinner and the quiet moments in between. Wedding venues close to Copenhagen, where the atmosphere arises from togetherness, and where the day is allowed to feel like your own.

Main house

The main house is our largest venue in the forest and can accommodate 70-130 people at a round table.

ORANGERIE

The orangery has space for 20-40 people rund tables. The Orangery is a venue we chose to build in 2018, to create a space where you sit right out in nature.

Rented accommodation

The tenant's residence consists of 2 interconnecting rooms, and one of the rooms has space for 20-40 people Round tables. In the adjacent room, there is standing reception available.

The forest tent can accommodate 30-70 people at round tables, and is a seasonal venue we offer from 1st April – 1st October.

Slots Laden

At Slotsladen, we can accommodate up to 400 people, but by using the bordeaux curtains, the room can be made more intimate and create an ideal space for 80 – 200 people.

Herthadalen is set in peaceful natural surroundings near Roskilde, far from the noise of everyday life. The surrounding forest and the open landscape create a rare sense of calm.

The surroundings invite immersion, relaxation, and togetherness. Here, conversations are given space to flow, and presence can be felt.

At Herthadalen, the rooms unfold in several moods – each with its own distinct character. From the cosy forest tent, where nature is almost at the table, to the bright presence of the Orangery and the more intimate setting of the Pavilion. History is gathered in the Main House, while the outdoor spaces tie it all together.

BRIGHT AREAS/

Our bright wedding venues are created in harmony with their surroundings and natural light. Large windows open the room up to the forest and the landscape, creating a light and serene atmosphere.

The materials and furnishings have been kept simple and honest, so the setting feels warm and relaxed.

Nordic Aesthetics

At Herthadalen, the aesthetic is simple, honest and rooted in Nordic traditions. Natural materials, muted colours and carefully selected details create a calm overall impression. The interior design is sensory without being pretentious.

Everything is designed as a discreet framework for the company. An expression that makes room for people, moods, and moments.

WE BRING NATURE IN

Nature is a completely natural part of how we think about Herthadalen. We ourselves enjoy taking nature inside and letting the seasons leave their mark on the rooms.

In spring we prune the sprouting branches and put them in water, in early summer beech branches fill the rooms, and in winter we decorate the windowsills with cones and pheasant feathers.

LARGE OUTDOOR AREA

Outdoors, Herthadalen opens up with plenty of space for both movement and quiet moments. The large swing by the tree has become a natural focal point, where both children and adults like to take their time.

There's also space on the lawn in the garden for a game of ball, Viking games or other informal activities.

SPACE FOR PRESENCE

At Herthadalen, the sky's the limit – both physically and mentally. The open framework allows for presence, conversations, and great moments. The surrounding nature contributes to a relaxed atmosphere.

Here you can breathe deeply and be present. A place where the event is allowed to unfold at its own pace.

Outdoor Welcome

We are very fond of welcoming guests outdoors when the weather permits. A drink in hand, plenty of time, and a view of nature provide a gentle start to the social gathering.

The conversations start by themselves, and the atmosphere is allowed to settle before the day or evening unfolds. Lovingly informal and relaxed.

Informal campfire fun

Each wedding venue has its own terrace, which can be used during the day or evening. We always light torches and bonfires, creating warmth and calm around the venue, making you want to linger a little longer.

You are always welcome to bring marshmallows and gather around the fire.
