Arrange an unforgettable Christmas experience for employees and their families with your very own private company Christmas market at Ledreborg. Conceived as an alternative to the classic Christmas lunch – instead of ”just” inviting internal staff to an evening party, employees and their families and children are instead invited (alternatively, customers/suppliers) for a cosy day at Ledreborg. A unique opportunity to meet all employees and their families.

Here, indoor and outdoor activities, Christmas cosiness and pampering are combined – with room for both children and adults. Say thank you for the year gone by with a day filled with presence, warmth and experiences – and send your guests home with a Christmas tree from Ledreborg's own forests as a gift.

Christmas Market at Ledreborg

Welcome to Christmas at Ledreborg – an atmospheric day in a historic setting, where we transform the old Castle Barns to exude Christmas spirit. Christmas music fills the air, bonfires crackle, and the scent of fir and sweet treats spreads between Christmas trees and live torches.

In the middle of the square, the 14-metre-tall Christmas tree stands tall, surrounded by fireplaces where you can toast marshmallows over an open fire. While the adults enjoy mulled wine and warm apple slices, we'll provide entertainment for the children: pony rides, a treasure hunt, and straw bale jumping.

You choose your own Christmas tree and take it home as part of the experience (included in the ticket). Throughout the day, manned horse-drawn carriages run between the car park and the Palace Square – through the beautiful Palace Avenue and all the way to the Amalienborg Gate, just a few steps from your car.

Christmas tree, activities, mulled wine, Æbleskiver, and more – it's all included in the price, so you just need to turn up and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

Mad and snacks

Food stalls and drink stalls with mulled wine, coffee/tea & hot chocolate, as well as organic juices – grilled sausages with savoury, sweet & bread – Æbleskiver – Rice pudding – Popcorn – Toasted almonds – Clementines and gingerbread biscuits – Marshmallows over the fire.

Find Father Christmas

Meet Christmas's nicest (and most grey-haired) guest. Somewhere between the stalls and the Christmas trees, he hides – Santa Claus! He greets young and old, spreading smiles and handing out gingerbread nuts on his way.

Suddenly you hear a “ho ho ho” – and then you know he's close by. Perhaps you'll get a smile – or a handful of peppernuts, if you're really lucky.

Animal and Treasure Hunt

Gold, riddles & forgotten animals at Ledreborg. In Amaliehaven, children and the young at heart can go on a treasure hunt, where 10 animals have hidden themselves among the trees and paths. Find them all, collect stickers – and help the animals safely home again.

Around the castle, a treasure hunt awaits for the lost gold. Follow the clues, solve the riddles, and see if you can find the treasure before dark.

Send a letter to Father Christmas

Share the joys and dreams of Christmas. At the entrance to the Stable, children – and those young at heart – can send a letter to Santa Claus. At the large, red Christmas postbox, the letter is carefully placed inside, ready for its journey to the North Pole.

Take your time, talk about wishes, and feel the joy of anticipation. For perhaps it is here that the Christmas magic begins – with a quiet belief that Santa Claus is listening.

Singalong

Sing in Christmas by the big Christmas tree. Every time the clock strikes half past, we gather around the Christmas tree for a sing-along with the Christmas choir.

We've been rummaging in the Christmas decorations and unearthed some of the season's musical treasures – and don't worry, you don't need to know them by heart. We've provided songbooks, so everyone can join in.

CRAFT WORKSHOPS/

Sticks, glitter and creative cosy time. The stable is buzzing with Christmas cheer and creative hands. Here you can let loose in all sorts of craft workshops.

Bake your own honey hearts, make a Christmas decoration or adorn a Christmas tree. Here there's room for imagination, contemplation and real creative cosiness amidst the Christmas spirit.

Petting Zoo & Pony Rides

Meet the four-legged friends and get up close. In the area around the Stable, children can pet animals and take a gentle pony ride with professional help.

A quiet and pleasant experience, where the pace is slow and there's time for both curious questions and gentle muzzle kisses. For many children, it's a moment that stays with them long afterwards.

FIND THIS YEAR'S CHRISTMAS TREE

Looking for the Christmas tree of the year. In the palace square, each family can go on the hunt for this year's Christmas tree amidst the historic surroundings. Together, you'll find the perfect tree to take home and illuminate the living room.

All day long, horse-drawn carriages run between the palace square and the car park, making it easy to transport the Christmas tree home.

Christmas coziness in the barn

Inside, the warmth and scent of Christmas await. At Slotsladen, there's space to sit down, get warm, and take a break with something hot in your mug, something sweet for your palate, and time to chat with each other.

The slotsladen functions as a natural meeting point, where you can step in from the cold, enjoy something to eat, or immerse yourself in small creative pursuits at a leisurely pace.

We typically find that our customers invite their closest family members; and as a result, each employee brings 2-3 companions. Therefore, the list of attendees will comprise approximately 250-400 employees + their respective families.

Saturday 28 November 2026 (10:00-15:00) we are opening up for small businesses, staff associations & departments to book onto an open, shared company Christmas market at Ledreborg.

Together with other companies, you can enjoy a pleasant day with Christmas activities, mulled wine and Æbleskiver, horse-drawn carriage rides, a pick-your-own Christmas tree, and lots of Christmas spirit in the old castle barns – a cosy way to round off the year with colleagues.
