Christmas 2026 at Herthadalen & Ledreborg offers atmospheric experiences where nature, stories, and Nordic aesthetics meet in beautiful surroundings. Unique Christmas events can be arranged here, suitable for families, friends, and companies who wish to celebrate Christmas in a memorable way.

So whether you are 4, 40 or 400 people, and are planning to enjoy a Christmas dinner at “White Christmas & Festival of Lights” at Herthadalen, a Company Christmas Market at Ledreborg or a festive Company Christmas Lunch in Slotsladen, you will experience a very special atmosphere in the National Park.

Opening hours vary depending on the event and activities, but generally Herthadalen & Ledreborg are open throughout November and December. Below is a full overview of what can be experienced in the forest throughout Christmas.

From 20/11 – 20/12 + Boxing Day

White Christmas & Festival of Lights

This Christmas, we'll be filling the restaurant with Christmas clippings, Christmas jazz, and wonderful Christmas scents. The restaurant will be transformed into a white winter backdrop with artistic floral installations and a sea of lights that create a sparkle in your glasses. Outside, we'll break up the winter darkness with torches, beams of light, and crackling bonfires.

Invite your colleagues, friends or family for dinner in the middle of the National Park. If you are a group of more than 20 people, we will provide Book your own private room.

November & December

Firm lunch

Gather colleagues, the board, or your lodge group for a cosy Christmas finale in the forest. Buy this year's Christmas tree and enjoy the forest kitchen's white Christmas menu. For parties of under 20 people, we recommend booking a table in the restaurant (lunch or evening).

For parties of more than 20 people, we recommend your own private room. At Herthadalen, we have rooms for parties from 20 to 150 guests – and at Ledreborg Castle, we can accommodate up to 400 people.

November & December

Book Ledreborg Gods exclusively for this year's Christmas party for staff, clients & families. Throughout the Christmas season, we decorate the old castle barns in fine festive attire, and invite you inside to enjoy a wealth of creative workshops, where Father Christmas and his elves will also be found around the Estate.

Outside on Slotspladsen, atmospheric Christmas music rings out for a singalong with the Christmas choir. A 14-metre-tall Christmas tree is being installed in the centre – here, all families can choose from a sea of Christmas trees throughout the day, pick the one they like best, and take it home.
