The tenant's dwelling

The Old Private Residence. The Bailiff's House is our newest function room in the forest and was fully renovated in the summer of 2020. The Bailiff's House is located adjacent to the Main House and has its own entrance down through the garden. The Bailiff's House comprises two adjoining rooms, with one room seating 40 people at round tables and with the possibility of a children's area or standing reception/coffee in the adjacent room.

The tenant's residence has its own large wooden terrace with a view over Knapsø, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a welcome drink or an afternoon coffee, weather permitting. The aesthetics of the room have been chosen with great coherence to the corresponding rooms in the Main House, Nordic minimalism, and furnished with great reference to the surroundings we are in.

The tenant's house is not rented out separately (without food & drink).

Cosy atmosphere

The forester's residence feels more like a home than a traditional function room. There's a warmth and intimacy here that makes it easy to relax and be present in the company.

INTIMATE & PRESENT

The room is particularly well-suited for smaller gatherings, where conversations can flourish and the atmosphere can develop at its own pace. Here, people are not far apart – and that can be felt.

SIMPLE AESTHETIC

The interior design is in a calm, Nordic style with a focus on simplicity and honesty. Materials, colours, and light work together in a subdued whole, where details are allowed to stand out without being too overpowering.

Close to the forest

The tenant's property includes a large, private terrace with a direct view of Knapsø lake and the treetops of the forest. Here you can retreat during the day – for a glass in the sun, a break in the open air, or for the long, bright evenings where nature is allowed to set the scene.

Premises in the forest

FROM INTIMATE TO GRAND

Herthadalen offers several different settings – from intimate lounges to grand halls. Each location has its own character, special qualities, and capacity. In addition to the Main House, you can hold your celebrations in the Orangery with a view of the sky, or in the Forest Tent, where nature is brought very close.

Whether you are hosting many guests or wish for more of a castle-like atmosphere, we also have access to the grand halls at Ledreborg Palace.
